We are a team of innovators, designers, and advanced manufacturers focused on creating high-quality Innovative fabric qualities. Our First innovative fabric is the first of its kind—indigo-dyed wool denim “INDIWOOL DENIM”.
We believe denim should be for everyone, including people living in cold climates. That’s why we’ve developed a warm, comfortable version of this classic fabric that is INDIWOOL DENIM.
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do. From our precise dyeing methods to the use of advanced, water-less technologies at an industrial scale, we are committed to protecting the environment.

History behind our innovation
The idea for Indigotex began in 2021 when one of the co-founders, Satendra Singh, joined the MTech program in Textile Chemical Processing at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, a top research institute in India. He started working in the Department of Textile and Fiber Engineering under Professor Bhupendra Singh Butola.
One day, Dr. Butola returned from a trip to Ladakh, a very cold region in India. He was wearing regular cotton denim and felt very cold there. This gave him an idea. When he came back, he asked Satendra a question: “Can we make denim using a different fiber than cotton?”
“Satendra took up the challenge and began experimenting. He tried over 1500 times to dye wool with indigo, the traditional blue dye used in denim. At the same time, they worked on making the fabric washable with detergent and improving its comfort using eco-friendly dry technologies.”
After a lot of work in the lab, they successfully created a wool-based fabric that looked just like regular denim but was warmer and more comfortable. They then moved from lab experiments to full-scale industrial production and finally made the first pair of INDIWOOL DENIM.
In 2024, after many trials and hard work, Indigotex was officially launched.
