Satendra Singh
(Founder & CEO)
Satendra Singh, co-inventor of the world’s first blue wool denim, is a textile innovator with over a decade of experience in textile chemistry, sustainable R&D, and fabric processing. Inspired by the idea of wool denim from his mentor, Prof. Bhupendra Singh Butola at IIT Delhi during his M.Tech., he transformed the concept into a commercially viable solution for cold climates, addressing the limitations of conventional cotton denim. Before founding Indigotex, Satendra honed his expertise at Welspun India Limited after graduating in Textile Chemistry from MLV Textile & Engineering College, Bhilwara, and has since dedicated his career to pioneering eco-friendly innovations in the textile industry.
Dr Bhupendra Singh Butola
(Founder and Technical Director)
Dr. Bhupendra Singh Butola, Founder and Technical Director of Indigotex, is a Professor at the Department of Textile and Fiber Engineering, IIT Delhi. He conceived the idea of indigo-dyed wool denim during a visit to Ladakh, where he realized the limitations of cotton denim in cold climates, and guided his student, Satendra Singh, in developing the world’s first wool denim. With a B.Tech (1990) and Ph.D. (2005) in Textile Technology from IIT Delhi, Dr. Butola has rich academic and industry experience, including work at Paharpur Plastics, Kanoria Petroproducts, and Guru Nanak Dev University. His expertise spans textile chemistry, fiber science, polymeric nanocomposites, and smart textiles, and he continues to lead Indigotex’s R&D, supporting innovation from lab to industrial scale.
Dilip Singh
(Co-founder & CMO)
Dilip Singh is the Chief Marketing Officer at Indigotex, bringing strong expertise in textile marketing and a solid technical background with a B.Tech. in Textile Technology from MLV Textile & Engineering College, Bhilwara. He began his career with Welspun India Ltd. and Park Non Wovens Ltd., where he gained valuable experience in production, operations, and marketing, contributing to business growth and customer engagement. At Indigotex, Dilip leads the marketing team with a focus on innovative strategies, market expansion, and building lasting customer relationships, playing a key role in driving the company’s growth and success.
Mohit Ahirwar
(Design Director)
Mohit, Design Director at Indigotex, combines over 8 years of industry experience with a strong academic foundation in technology and design, holding a B.Tech in IT and an M.Des from IIT Delhi. He has successfully led 100+ projects across branding, UI/UX, graphics, motion design, and strategic design while working with agencies, studios, and global clients. At Indigotex, Mohit drives the design strategy and leads the team in creating innovative, sustainable denim fabrics that align with market demands and user needs. His blend of creativity, technical expertise, and strategic insight ensures Indigotex remains at the forefront of textile design and innovation.
